A small weekly review
Make room to notice what still matters.
Look back before planning ahead
Open the notes and lists you used during the week. Read them without immediately reorganising everything. Notice unfinished decisions, useful observations, and ideas that have already lost their urgency. A review begins with attention, not with a clean page.
Close the small loops
Cross out work that is finished. Put a reference where you will look for it. If a task is no longer useful, remove it from the active list. A shorter list that reflects your actual intentions is more useful than a complete record of every old possibility.
Choose a next step you can recognise
Replace an unclear project label with a concrete action. “Work on the room” might become “measure the space beside the window”. Keep the larger idea in your notes, and put the next visible step on your working list.
Stop while the review is still small
There is no need to redesign your whole week. Finish by choosing one thing that deserves attention and one thing you can leave alone. The point is to return to the coming days with a clearer view, not to produce a perfect plan.
